I read that the direct recording output of the F series actually has poweramp section in it! Which is quite unique for record outs which usually bypass the poweramp section. The silent recording mode mutes the speaker but doesn't switch off the poweramp section (it still requires a load). When there's a pop in silent recording mode, I cannot hear it through my headphones or in my recording. ![]() I was trying to isolate where the pop is coming from. What could this be? I don't have a power conditioner yet, so the amp's just hooked up to a grounded surge protector. It can be quite loud if the volume is turned up when the amp's not in silent recording mode. The amp occasionally produces an audible pop. Is it safe to use this amp in silent recording mode for long periods? The OD channel is way too loud to mic in my small apartment studio. The OD channel is amazing, but the clean channel just floored me.
